Want to save money, increase productivity, and make all your employees and customers happier?
Can dispensing pumps change your life? No.
Could they make life better though? Yes, in their own way. A small way. But, even a flood starts with a single drop of rain, and over thousands of pumps, dispensing pumps will save a business money, create a more consistent outcome, and save employees from lugging a bunch of heavy things around.
Benefits of Dispensing Pumps
The main benefit of using dispensing pumps is that they dispense the same amount of liquid every time. Whether it’s solvents, pharmaceuticals, condiments, or oils, you want the same measure of product every pump. For example, if you’re wanting 10ml of oil for salad dressing every pump, or 40ml of cleaning fluid, that’s exactly what a dispenser does, every time.
That not only means a far more consistent product or end result, but also a more accurate cost for the business. Not running out of product unexpectedly and being able to estimate costs easier.
There’s also less mess from spills/ pouring, there’s no heavy lifting of containers to pour product, and it’s faster.

Dip tube lengths: These can vary, and be cut to length if they are too long for that jerry can or drum. However, they need to be cut properly to maximise product use and prevent clogging. This could be as simple as choosing between an angle cut and a v cut, but also taking into account the base of the bottle. If it’s curved, the tube will need to go around the side of the bottle so you’ll need a longer tube.
Should you use a tap? If you’re dispensing from a jerry can or drum, it could be tempting to use a tap instead. In some circumstances, a tap is a great idea, but if you need a measured amount each time, a pump is a superior option. Also, jerry cans can be heavy to lift onto a table – a tap is unusable on the floor.
What liquids work in pumps? Most liquids, including oils and gels, work in dispensing pumps. However, the more viscous fluids might not work in all pump types. Make sure the dispensing pump is able to handle the fluid you’re pumping.
